The Department of Transportation released its report for the Tuesday meeting agenda- it’s fantastic!
Finally some common sense–recognizing the value of the lot, the various risks and the public benefit that could be much better served by using this unique opportunity to create a transportation hub for all visitors to access Venice! There’s also a recommendation to consider the adjacent lot #701 for affordable housing only, which the DOT brought up years ago.
This is only a recommendation from DOT – – it is critical that the Commissioners see our support for approval in person to make this happen!
We’ll need to thank the Commissioners and say we SUPPORT Project Alternatives 2 and 4.
