We’ve been made aware of more shenanigans from those intent on resurrecting the dead Venice Dell project and need you to immediately send an easy one-click email to the City’s Budget and Finance committee.
Short story–members of the DSA (the Democratic Socialists of America, known to many as the Destructive Socialist Agenda) are trying desperately to keep the project going while simultaneously trying to get their candidates voted into Council. Former Councilman Bonin has handpicked Faizah Malik, who is running against our Councilwoman Traci Park. DSAer Marissa Roy is running against City Attorney Hydee Feldstein Soto and another DSAer, Rae Huang, is going up against Mayor Karen Bass.
The Venice Dell project developers have recruited all of their fellow housing and homelessness non-profit agencies to send emails to the Council File for the Budget & Finance Committee meeting tomorrow, December 2, 2025. The City Attorney is requesting, among other things, money for the City to hire outside counsel to defend against several lawsuits brought by the developers and their related parties who are extorting the City for more public funds to cover their mistakes in pursuit of what we believe would be an unconstitutional gift of public land, on which Venice Dell wants to build.
